Description

The L-shape combination window BDL P5 glazing unit consists of external toughened glass and internal laminated glass enhancing the window operating safety. In case of any damage to laminated glass, the glass pieces remain stuck with the film.

The L-shaped combination windows are installed where the roof meets a vertical wall. These windows serve to extend the roof window into the wall. This results in the amount of light entering the room and the field of view being greatly increased. The L-shaped combination windows can be combined with roof windows of any type. The new line of L-shaped combination windows is characterised by a new frame and sash structure, innovative hardware and newly designed handle. The internal as well as external L-shaped windows’ profiles match perfectly with the rest of FAKRO roof windows, creating the same decorative pattern. The hardware used enables a tilt and turn opening system – identical to the one used in vertical windows.
The BDL L-shaped combination window can be opened in two distinct ways: tilting or turning. Opened by tilting up to a max. 11 cm and by turning up to 90º.
Both opening methods are performed with the use of one handle positioned on the side of the sash. This window type comes with a lock as a standard.

Glazing unit P5 (antiburglary class P2A)

Single chamber glazing, laminated and anti-burglary class P2A according to standard PN-EN 356. Offers increased resistance against breakage. 4H-15-33.2T. External pane toughened, warm TGI spacer, Inner pane consists of two 3mm thick sheets of glass with 0.76mm (2x0.38mm) layer of PVB plastic membrane between them. The glazing cavity is filled with inert gas (argon). On the inner side of the laminated glass it has a low emision coating which reduces penetration of UV rays by up to 98%. Glazing U-value is 1.0 W/m²K

Flashings (sold separately):

New flashings, manufactured particularly for the new line of L-shaped windows.
Flashings are essential for the correct installation of roof windows. Precisely designed flashing details ensure a durable and neat fit with the roofing material used. The purpose of flashing is to ensure good drainage away from the window and to provide protection from the elements.
