FAKRO GREENVIEW PTP-V U41 ABMX Roof Window: Energy-Saving Centre Pivot Window, PVC, Triple Glazing 

The FAKRO PTP-V U41 ABMX is a new generation centre pivot window, made from multi-chamber, white PVC profiles with internal steel reinforcements. It combines modern technology with high functionality and durability.

Thanks to its high moisture resistance, this model is particularly suitable for rooms with increased humidity, such as bathrooms or kitchens.

With an excellent heat transfer coefficient of Uw = 1.1 W/m²K and a Ug value of the triple glazing of 0.6 W/m²K, the window ensures thermal comfort and energy savings throughout the year.

Key features of the FAKRO PTP-V U41 ABMX roof window of the new GreenView generation:

1. Maximum user comfort – The pivot opening allows for easy ventilation and cleaning of the panes. The hinge, placed in the middle of the window height, ensures stability and smooth movement, while the sash guiding system facilitates precise closing and increases operating comfort. It is the most frequently chosen opening system, offering comfort and functionality.
2. Year-round energy savings – The 44 mm thick U41 glazing unit with termoPro technology reduces heat loss in winter and protects the interior from overheating in summer. The heat transfer coefficient Uw is 1.1 W/m²K when using a standard flashing and 1.0 W/m²K with the special EHV-AT Thermo flashing – for very good thermal insulation and lower heating bills.

FAKRO ThermoPro Technology

FAKRO has equipped its roof window classes with ThermoPro technology. This new solution guarantees improved quality and performance of roof windows, leading to increased energy efficiency and durability, excellent tightness, and easier installation.

1. Better thermal insulation of windows:
   The use of windows equipped with Thermo Technology enables the buyer to achieve lower heating costs, as built-in insulation inserts in the sashes, along with a new, low-emission coating on the glass, enhance the overall energy efficiency of the window.
2. Increased durability of the wood:
   The bottom corners are equipped with special drainage channels to divert water from condensation or potential leaks, e.g., due to damage or dirt on the seals. This reduces the exposure of the wooden profiles of the roof window to moisture, contributing to their durability.
3. Better tightness of roof windows:
   Windows manufactured with Thermo Technology are in the 3rd and 4th tightness class according to EN12207. This reduces the amount of uncontrolled air entering the room, which is particularly important for mechanical ventilation.
4. Easy installation:
   New brackets facilitate precise adjustment of the roof windows and expedite installation. Additionally, the use of Torx screws simplifies the mounting of windows in the roof surface.

Flashing

What is a flashing and why do I need one?

The flashing is an indispensable element for the proper installation of a roof window in the roof surface. It directs rainwater and meltwater around the window and also protects it from wind. Only with the help of a flashing can an absolutely tight connection between the roof window and the roof be guaranteed.

Why is flashing with additional insulation better than standard flashing?

The flashings improve the thermal insulation of the roof window and significantly enhance the effective thermal insulation, depending on the type of roof window, calculated up to 15%.

Thermo flashings, with elastic insulation strips applied and fixed from the inside, ensure the best connection between the roof window and the roof structure, providing complete protection for the installed roof window. These elements allow for safe and trouble-free use of the roof windows for years. Additionally, they reduce thermal bridges and ensure proper water drainage around the window.

Flashings with additional insulation (Thermo flashings) are available in more variants than standard flashings for OptiLight roof windows. Thanks to this, they adapt perfectly to your roofing material and not only improve the insulation properties but also ensure the most aesthetically pleasing connection between the window and the roof.
