EPS for floor insulation can be installed in various ways; however, it is most commonly laid under a floating screed, which requires specific properties regarding compressive strength. During the manufacturing process, high material compression is used to ensure the boards can withstand heavy loads while maintaining excellent insulation values.
The Right Compressive Strength for Every Application:
Different projects demand different levels of resistance. While a floor foundation requires significantly higher load-bearing capacity, a rarely used guest room has much lower requirements. We offer boards with varying compressive strengths to meet your specific needs:
- • 60 kPa: Suitable for standard residential use, allowing for a pressure load of up to 1.8 t/m².
- • 100 kPa to 150 kPa: High-performance boards designed for heavy-duty areas like garages, supporting loads up to 4.5 t/m².
- • Graphite EPS (λd = 0.031 W/(m·K)): For residential buildings where thermal efficiency is the priority, these boards use graphite additives to achieve superior insulation values.
